The Exhibition Area

As part of its function as the premier war memorial for NSW, the Anzac Memorial is committed to preserving the memory of those Australians who have served their country in war and in peace keeping operations.

Following the wishes of the Memorial's architect, C. Bruce Dellit, part of the original ground floor space has been converted to an Exhibition space. Here are housed items of interest to the story of Australian Military service, and information on service people form New South Wales.

The Memorial holds a small collection of memorabilia donated by the public and by service associations. The collection covers each conflict Australians have fought in from the Boer War to the present.

Items on display include uniforms, models and the first flag brought ashore by Australians at Gallipoli. Displays are changed on a regular basis to reflect anniversaries of note.

The Exhibition area is on the ground floor of the Memorial, on the southern (Liverpool St) side of the building. Access is from the main foyer on the western (Elizabeth St) side of the Memorial.
