A recent donation of treasured family heirlooms to the Anzac Memorial reveal a remarkable drama of desperate courage by the pilot of a crippled heavy bomber during the Second World War. The young man from the Sydney suburb of Pagewood earned one of the rarest decorations to the RAAF. Visit the Memorial to see the original souvenirs, documents and photographs that tell the heroic and tragic story. Talk by Brad Manera, Senior Historian and Curator, Anzac Memorial.
