A recent donation of treasured family heirlooms to the Anzac Memorial reveal a remarkable drama of desperate courage by the pilot of a crippled heavy bomber during the Second World War. The young man from the Sydney suburb of Pagewood earned one of the rarest decorations to the RAAF.
