More than 100 Sydney schools will participate in the Service, which will feature 1500 school children and supporting adults. Dignatiries and representatives from each attending school will lay a wreath. The Service will also include an Inspection of the Guard by the official party, the Ode, Last Post and Reveille.

The  Service has been held at the Anzac Memorial every year since 1953.  Proceedings are run entirely by the school students including the Master of Ceremonies, keynote address, the readings and musical accompaniment. It is a collabortaive effort between Catholic Schools NSW, the Association of Independent Schools of NSW, the NSW Department of Education and RSL NSW.
