Join us in cheering on veteran and runner Rodney 'Rocket' Cottam as he crosses the finish line at the Anzac Memorial after his 500km run
3pm, Northern Forecourt
Run Rocket Run, in partnership with Invictus Australia and the Anzac Memorial, is calling all Sydneysiders to cheer Rodney ‘Rocket’ Cottam home as he undertakes his second trail run challenge.
On 3-7 July, Rodney will run 500km in 106 hours, averaging 100km per day, starting from the NSW Mid-North Coast and finishing in Sydney at 3pm on Friday, 7 July.
Rodney is a veteran who served in the 3rd Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment. The run will increase awareness of mental and physical resilience while raising money for Invictus Australia.
Invictus Australia is a not-for-profit organisation that promotes the physical, social and emotional benefits of sport, as well as shining a light on the unique needs of younger veterans and the challenges they face as they transition from military to civilian life.
Join us in cheering Rodney as he crosses the finish line at the Anzac Memorial's Northern Forecourt on Friday, 7 July at 3pm.
