1945 — Australian troops, aided by artillery and naval gunfire support from HMAS SHROPSHIRE, landed at WESTON, North Borneo, to sieze the island and to deny oil and other resources to the Japanese

1966 — MV JEPARIT departed from Sydney on her first supply trip to Vietnam. She would eventually be commissioned into the Royal Australian Navy as HMAS JEPARIT to overcome problems on the waterfront
