HMA Ships Parramatta, Swan, Huon, Warrego, Yarra, and Torrens commenced operations to contain the Austro-Hungarian fleet in the Adriatic Sea. This operation was known as the OTRANTO BARRAGE.

— 1927

HMAS Adelaide sailors landed in the Solomon Islands to assist to restore order after an uprising resulted in the death of 16 Government officials.
