The Battle of Fromelles 1916 was one of the worst days in Australia's military history.

11914— The second convoy of the Australian Imperial Force sailed from Albany, Western Australia. The convoy was escorted by HMA Submarine AE2 which was being towed by HMAT Berrima.
1941— HMA Ships Napier, Nizam and Nestor joined other units to bombard German defences on the outskirts of Bardia, Libya.
